YES - I'm Still Asleep!!

In previous posts I have talked about the fatigue associated with Sjogren's Syndrome and Fibromyagia and those of you that have a chronic illness know what I mean. Those that don't have a tough time understand why some days I may spend most of the day in bed. I have the animals, my blogs, eBay and jewelry making responsibilities to complete but the tasks related to those can be kept to a minimum on a down day. Down days happen in spurts sometimes a few days a month to several days a week - I have found pushing myself only makes the episode last longer and increases my pain. My close friends understand if the phone isn't answered or I am not online that I will be in touch within 24 hours. Unfortunately, other people are NOT so understanding - my mother in law for one can call up to 4 times in a row if I don't answer (leaves 4 messages), a couple of people in my circle of acquaintances and of course all of the people who work in sales and marketing (yep telemarketers - lol). Recently around 10 am the phone rang a few times, after rolling over I answered - on the other end an associate of mine said "Oh, I woke you............." and went on a 15 minute tirade before I rudely cut her off and suggested she NEVER call again before noon. She reported to several of my friends that I "might
make some money if I would get out of bed once in a while" - I guess I'll stay broke but rested - LOL!! On a serious note if you start having down days - PLEASE contact your Dr. - SLEEP is essential to your well being!
